A week away....

The week-end is here!  I hope it will be a good one for you.  It puts us one day closer to St. Patrick's Day.  Now, I know some of you have been ready for several days for the special holidays in this month.  Here are a few of the things that are out around our place.

Isn't she cute?

What kind of mischief is he considering?

True to his Irish roots.

My wish for you!

Ready to wear on St. Patrick's Day!

A festive arm band!

These are only some of the trimmings around here for St. Patrick's Day.  More will follow in the next few days.

Bridge on Friday was good fellowship.  I just don't seem to be having too many good cards lately.

The Lady Vols won their basketball game with Florida on Friday afternoon.  Next up - Texas A&M later today.  This is the Southeastern Conference basketball tournament.

Today I am off to church to volunteer for the UMW Children's Clothing Exchange.  This is one of the fundraisers during the year that generates funds for us to donate to several missions, both locally and nationally.

Thank you for reading.  I appreciate your comments.

  6. You have some very nice St Patrick's Day decorations. Since I have downsized to a smaller home I don't decorate any more except for a bit at Christmas.

  7. These are such happy decorations! I was at Dollar Tree yesterday and had a hard time leaving the store without buying a lot of stuff!! In fact, I may HAVE to go back for some of those items that I so wisely left there yesterday. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday...you know, we get an hour less sleep tonight. :-(

  8. Love all your Irish decor. This year we could have had a Saint Patty's day Easter, they are so close.
Our H.S. Boys basketball team played regionals today. I don't know if they won. I hope so.
Thinking of you today, enjoy your Sunday, xoxo,Susie

  10. Hi Nellie, I like your leprechauns and little touches for St. Patrick's Day. I see too that you are quite a Vols BB fan. Just recently I read an article about Pat Summit and how things are going for her. It sounds like her condition is stable at present. I cannot remember where I read that. I live in Iowa and most people here are either Iowa or Iowa State fans. I love the ISU Cyclones. I'll wish your teams good luck until/unless "we" meet!
