Let the cookie baking begin!
Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it’s time for cookies at our house!
The Husband was ready for one before they were even out of the oven! I convinced him to wait until they had cooled just a bit on the baking pan!
Have you begun any holiday baking? Were you among the shoppers on this “Black Friday?”
Wishes for a happy time ahead!
Hi Nellie, those cookies looks good with a nice cup of tea or coffee.
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't started cooking for Christmas yet although I bought a Pannetone bread but I already eaten some. It's so good.
I don't shop on Black Friday, in store or online. I once shopped on Black Friday many years ago and did not enjoyed the chaos and the grabbing. I stay as far away as possible from it, lol... It will probably be a quiet Christmas again this year. The last two years, we had to cancel Christmas family dinners because of severe snow storms and the roads were too dangerous for travel.
Wishing you good health.
Hugs,
Julia
Dear Nellie your yummy gingerbread people have brought back happy memories of living in America! I fondly recall my neighbour baking literally thousands of cookies in the run up to Christmas. She would bake at least 100 every day and fill her freezer, then a mamoth decorating session followed. Through the year she scoured yard sales for pretty tins and everyone got a tin filled with cookies for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been baking cookies for the Drane house sale here in town next week.
ReplyDeleteYour cookies look so good. I would have liked a warm one too. :)
No, no black Friday shopping for me. We don't do much Christmas shopping anymore.
Your lovely gingerbread cookies are perfect, Nellie. I used to make them and put a hole at the top to hang on a small tree for the kitchen table. Now you've reminded to do that again!
ReplyDeleteI've never gone shopping on Black Friday. The very thought frightens me. I don't have much Christmas shopping to do these day, so I'm already done except for a few items I want to order online. I'm looking forward to starting my cookie baking.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
No shopping this year...a few little things online. For the first time in many years...NO cookies. I love to bake cookies, but we are heading out soon for a Christmas away from home. Looking forward to something different! Enjoy your holidays!!!
