More decor....

Happy Monday to everyone!  I know I have some followers in the northeast.  Are you beginning to see the light of day after the snowstorm?  We are far from snow here, with a Sunday high near 60 degrees.

The past few days have been busy ones.  I was away for awhile for UMW Executive Committee meetings, and City Girl has also come to town.  It has been a good time, though I have been a bit occupied.

I thought I would show you a few more pictures of a little decor.  It really isn't anything fancy at all!

Country Girl made this when she was younger.  I have it hanging on a hook at the kitchen shelves.

I have never been to Mardi Gras, though I imagine this mask would fit right in.:-)  It is also displayed on the same kitchen shelving.

I think this is a precious little purse!  It was actually a favor at a lunch - candy inside - several years ago!

One bear holding court on the mantle.  Do you see the word "Godiva" on one foot?  He came on top of a box of wonderful chocolates several years ago, a gift from The Husband.:-)

Here is a "loyal subject" on the other end of the mantle.

A table setting possibility.

I love how this looks!  Strawberry Fair by Johnson Brothers with Strawberry and Vine by Wedgewood are "at home" on the red cloth, and they fit together well!

Another setting.

Here is Strawberry and Vine by Wedgewood with silver by Gorham, Rondo pattern.  Do you see the napkin ring?  It is heart-shaped!  They were a bit of a "splurge" this year.:-)

On my way to the town where the committee meetings were held, I took a bit of a "detour" to go meet a fellow blogger.  I would like to encourage you to check out My Place to Yours, especially the Valentine project Susan has going for children in Brazil.  Myplacetoyours.blogspot.com should get you there.  If it doesn't, let me know, and I will see if I have given it to you incorrectly.. Anyway, we had a lovely visit!  I welcome her as my newest follower as well!

Thank you for reading.   I appreciate your comments.

How wonderful that you met a fellow blogger in person! I have had the joy of meeting some Facebook friends as well, and it's so wonderful to be able to put a face with a name and know a bit about their struggles and victories as well! Have a lovely day! :-)

  4. Sending you a few Valentine hugs! How special that you hung onto Country Girls valentine. We've had freezing rain this morning and now it's snowing again. Makes me wish my job didn't require commuting to our multiple University campuses today. 60 degrees sounds heavenly.

  6. It looks so nice. I love those red and white dishes. They are just incredible.
I think every thing just looks so pretty and festive. Do you know I have been making things for my girls and their houses and I didn't have a single thing in mine. That was why I had to get busy. I just laughed at myself.
I just love red and white.
