Omission....and time to cook again!

The week-end is here!  Have you anticipated this time all week?  Hopefully you will have good weather where you are, and you will be able to do some things that are enjoyable for you.

In my previous post, there was an omission of one of our state's special choices.

Did this one publish?

Anyway, I will have to be sure that this is the one that wasn't included.  The Swallowtail Butterfly, the Salamander, and the Box Turtle just can't be omitted!:-)

Yes, it is time to cook again!  Next Tuesday is the first Tuesday, and that is the day I provide lunch for the Adult Day Care participants and staff at our church.  That means a menu and recipes - well, one or two, anyway.:-)  I've tried to do a bit of advance preparation.  I'll give you a hint about dessert.  It will be something with strawberries in it!

Oh, happy June 1st!  This is the sixth month of the year!  Time is passing quickly here!

Sending wishes for a good day to you!

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  1. Good Morning Nellie. We had heavy rain all night but it has dried out some this morning.

I hope this is a good day for you.

  2. Nellie, I can't believe how fast this year is going by. I am hoping for a wonderful June. It's my favorite month. We had rain last night, plenty. Can't wait to see some of those good things you cook up in the kitchen. xoxo,Susie

  4. The salamander looks like a tiny dragon growing it's wings.

It seems that time is going much faster than ever before. I know it's because we have such busy lifestyles and schedules that makes the time appear to go faster. I've noticed that the wrinkles are speeding up too, ha,ha,ha.

To me I never anticipate the weekends because I work 7 days a week so there is no time for taking off to the lake for the weekend for R&R.

    Have a safe weekend,
    Hugs,
    JB

  7. Hi Nellie,
It is passing way to fast here too. I always enjoy your recipes and seeing what new menu you come up with month to month.
It is nice here though a bit warm but I am okay with it.
It is nice to get to enjoy June again.
Have a lovely day, I like turtles so that is nice they are your state reptile.

  8. Our state has some unique critters to claim as our own! I wonder who decides these things, anyway... :-)

It is June, but the outdoors feels like July already! I'm ready for some cooler temps, but I guess I'll have to "weather" these 80s for a while to earn that privilege! Have a good day, and do your best to stay cool!
