Third Sunday in Advent....

On this third Sunday in Advent, I find this scripture reference from Isaiah 40:3-5 to be meaningful.

"A voice cries out:
            'In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord,
                        make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
             Every valley shall be lifted up,
                        and every mountain and hill be made low;
                        the uneven ground shall become level,
                        and the rough places a plain.
             Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
                        and all people shall see it together,
                        for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.'"

On this Sunday, December 15, 2013, the Mission Focus from the UMW Prayer Calendar is the Mississippi United Methodist Choctaw Mission in the United States.

May you have a blessed Sunday!

  7. There are so many wildernesses these days, starting with the wilderness of our hearts, and we should always prepare ourselves to accept the Savior Who came to us as a little baby! Wonderful thoughts for each of us this day and always!
