Spring must be here!

I think spring is finally here!  There are several signs all around us.

Bradford pears in the neighbor's yard.

One of our peach trees in full bloom!

Tulips are almost ready to bloom.

The temperature is cooperating, too, with some nice, warm days!

There were some casualties of the cold weather, though.

The consecutive nights of below freezing temperatures last week "bit" this peach tree.

The rosemary will have to be replaced.

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  1. Good morning, Nellie!
What a delightful way to start my Day! It looks so "springy" by you!

I saw a few hints of Spring yesterday in the garden but nothing as dramatic, yet:)

So sorry bout the Rosemary plant, I lost mine a few years ago. I actually used some of the dead branches as flavoring in the grill. I'm finally growing a new one this year.

Thank you so much for sharing this burst of Spring this morning, Nellie. Just what we needed!

  2. Yes, there have been some casualties of the cold snap that came after the first warm spell, but I hope you didn't get too much damage that can't be repaired. We had some vicious storms in the wee hours of the morning here, but no damage, except to my sleep schedule, so a nap might be in my plans for today! Enjoy your day, Sister!

  3. Nellie, You are ahead of us there in Tenn. We are just getting the tiny buds on our trees here. I hope there's no wind or rain once they bloom...I like to enjoy their beauty. Hope you have a great day, xoxo,Susie

  5. Your blooms are wonderful. I'm tired of dirty snow banks and can't wait to see signs of spring. I eager to retire Josie's snow pants and snow boots.

  7. I had to cut so much back to the ground, but thankfully the majority is coming back. It's just going to take a while.
