Where did I go? What did I do? One more time....

Happy Tuesday to you.  Is the week off to a good start for you?

I left you at Founders Day in my previous post.  What did we do when that event had concluded?  Well, we returned home for a busy week-end of church activities.  That was the subject of the post on Monday, March 31.

On Tuesday, April 1, we made a return trip to Emory and Henry for an organ concert.  That program was the subject of the post on Wednesday, April 2.

After the concert, we journeyed to the home of Munchomom where we spent the night.  We were up the next morning to begin our trip to Jamestown and Williamsburg!

Before heading out, I snapped this picture of where we were staying.

Entering Jamestown! We are excited!

The walkway with state flags includes a plaque with information about each state.

Impressive sculpture.

I thought this was a very neat bench!

I was almost as excited as the Munchkins as this was my first time to visit Jamestown, too.

Coming up next will be the views of the Powhatan community.  Hopefully you will return tomorrow.

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  4. What a delightful place to visit, with so much history and beauty! I have a FB friend who lives in Yorktown, and I might be able to visit her some day and take in some of the other great places that VA has to offer. One can only imagine the hardships that the original residents had to endure in order to make this the great place it is now. Have a lovely afternoon, Sister!

  6. What a great trip for the Munchkins and adults alike. We took our daughter there when she was in 6th grade. She was very interested in the Civil War at that age (of all things). Both Yorktown and Williamsburg are must sees!
