Kudos....

....to World Market!

The topic of some conversations has been how Thanksgiving sometimes becomes "lost" as it is "sandwiched" in between Halloween and Christmas.  Take a look at the following flyer that was in our Sunday newspaper.

It is easy to see that this is all about Thanksgiving!

On the last page, I did see this:

Just a little reference to their "Holiday Shop!"

Incidentally, there is also the notice that World Market will be closed Thanksgiving Day!  That gives employees time to enjoy a day off work!  That's great for them!

I've noticed new followers!  Welcome!

  1. GOOD for them for closing on that day! More stores should follow suit.

  2. I did see that ad, and it made me wish the store were closer to us! LOVE them, but just don't get to that end of town very often, which is probably a very good thing for the checkbook! :-) I have made it a point to stay away from stores that are opening on Thanksgiving Day. To me, that is totally unnecessary, and those employees should have that time to spend with their families. Have a fantabulous Friday, Sister!

  3. Nellie, It is nice to be able to enjoy each holiday. not have them all jumbled up together. I remember having to help clean one of the sub-station at GM, on Thanksgiving day... I told mommy I would only have to work 4 hours...so she held dinner for a just a bit and I got in the door as it was being served. Oh happy day. It would not have been the same if everyone had eaten and gone.LOL. This was way long before cell phone. :):) Bless you today, xoxo,Susie

  4. At this time of year I get shopping flyer overload and it makes me not want to shop. I hate that $$$ is being sucked up before it evens gets in the bank account all in the name of holidays.

I'm glad that they are being closed for Thanksgiving.
    Enjoy your weekend Nellie.
    Hugs,
    JB

  6. We don't have a world market store here. But kudos to them for letting their employees have the day off. Our Fareway stores here do that every Sunday, love it!

  12. Hi Nellie...I'm always glad when stores close on holidays to give their employees the day off. Shows they are family oriented instead of just money grabbers. Susan
