Yes, I know.  The blog has been "silent" for a day or two.  Sometimes it seems like "things" get in the way.:-)

Before I go further, I must first send birthday wishes to Country Man, who celebrated a birthday yesterday!  His birthday begins our spring round of birthdays, so there will be more to come in the next two months.

We have been fortunate to attend a couple of performances of really great music!

This is the program for an orchestra performance at a high school in a nearby town.

My college choir came to our area for a performance.

This is the program chosen by the new director, the first woman to direct the choir.

This program, also in a nearby town, was a lot of fun!

Some of you may have one of these markets in your area.  This one will open on Tuesday, but we were able to enjoy a "sneak preview," bringing home this bag of goodies.  This deserves a blog by itself.

There was a really good opportunity for worship with other members of our District United Methodist Women.

Monday, March 23 has been set as "A Day of Giving," encouraging gifts to The Legacy Fund in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the United Methodist Women in 2019.

So - it has been a busy time here, and it doesn't appear there will be any slowing down very soon.:-)

As I close this post, I want to enclose a picture that came from the Internet. I wish I could remember now about the source.:-(  All I know is that we were encouraged to use this image how we pleased.  If I remember, I will update you about the originator.

The calendar does say spring has arrived!

  1. It is nice to attend music...

  2. I love high school and Middle School Music performances. They always seem to choose familiar music that I know. That was a nice program. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  3. Happy birthday to country man. Seems lots to see and do there. I love musical programs at schools. It's so nice to have them near. Plus it means young people are learning music. Not everyone plays sports. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. Well, I wished Country Man a happy birthday on his Facebook page, so I'll let that do for now! :-) I agree with the others about good school music programs, and your college choir performance was undoubtedly wonderful as well! As for Spring, today surely is turning out to be gorgeous after a foggy, dreary sort of start. I hope you're enjoying every moment, and that the rest of your afternoon will also be enjoyable. Love you, Sister! :-)

  5. I wondered what you had/have been doing. It looks like lots of fun things. We don't have a Whole Foods here. I like all of the things you have been doing and happy birthday to Country Boy.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  6. If today is any indication, we are in for a WET Spring! It's pouring! Happy Birthday, Country Man!

  7. Well, no wonder you have not had any time to blog!!! lol You have been one busy lady! Fun busy, too! Happy birthday to the Country Man. xo Diana

  8. You have a busy schedule and no one will chastise you for not blogging. I seldom post anymore and the way it looks I'll be posting less and less. Life does get in the way sometimes.

Attending functions that you enjoy is so worthwhile just to recharge.

    Happy Birthday to Country Man.
    Have a happy weekend.

  9. Favorite Young Man has a birthday this month. He'll be 35. I don't know how that can be. Just the other day he played his trombone in the high school jazz band, and the day before that I taught him how to play basketball. Time passes so quickly with our children.

  10. I just read that verse today. John 21 was part of my Bible reading this morning. : )
    Happy Birthday to Country Man.
No Whole Food Markets around my neck of the woods.

  11. Wow you are really busy! That is wonderful, you get out and enjoy oneself! Happy Birthday to Country Man!!
