The "bird feeder...."

For a few years, we have "given" the cherry tree to the birds, providing a "bird feeder."

That will be no more.:-(  Sadly, the cherry tree will have to be cut down.  The birds will be sad, as we are.

  2. We have lost almost all of our fruit trees. We will need to plant new ones maybe next year. I don't have a single peach tree that survived. Our cherry trees aren't looking too good either.
I hope you are had a nice week..

  3. Oh, how sad! I'm so sorry that the tree will have to be cut down, not just for the birds, but for you and The Husband, as I know how much you love the vegetation in your yard. Have a "fruitful" Friday,Sister, anyway! Love you!

  4. Bye bye cherry tree. Will you plant another bird tree? We have a weeping mulberry that the birds love, and it only grows about 7 feet tall. I recall that hymn about Joseph and Mary and the cherry tree that bows down to Mary.

  6. So sad about the cherry tree. Maybe you could use some of the wood for a nice out fire. Nellie, that means no cherry pies either. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. Sad about the cherry tree, same thing happened to 2 of ours. So much jam, etc. made from them. Have a great weekend!

  8. My parents have a cherry tree and it is pretty much the sole use of its cherries: feeding the birds. They are simply too sour for humans.
