Christmas in the country....

Once again, we went to the country for Christmas dinner!  The Country Couple were wonderful hosts!

The Christmas tree.

Country Man baked a wonderful apple pie in an iron skillet!

Country Girl baked a delicious chocolate cheese cake!

Where was the camera when the freshly-baked bread came out of the oven?!?:-)  It was just as good!

  1. Oh, that tree is just so much like them! Just lovely! All that delicious food is mouth-watering, too, and I'm sure The Husband totally enjoyed the apple pie, especially! Have a wonderful Wednesday, Sister, and try to stay dry!! Love you!

  2. Nellie, All those wonderful cookies and these awesome desserts...oh my goodness. That stuff is killer to me. LOL. Pie in a skillet sounds so country, I love it. The tree was so pretty too. Glad you got to enjoy your family during this Christmas holiday. I want to wish you and yours good health and peace this coming new year. xoxo,Susie

  3. I like your Christmas tree. And I LOVE the look of your chocolate cheese cake.

  4. I got an iron skillet for Christmas and plan to make the kind of corn bread that is made in a skillet. I'll have to try that apple pie too. : )

  5. It's my end of the year post to all the bloggers I know and love, like my new pal, Nellie! Thanks for your hard work, great posts, and bloggy friendship. Wishing you all the best in 2016 from "the Flipside."

  6. I'm so glad you got a good Christmas with family. The dessert looks so good. I finally got my iron skillet at the second hand store. It had a small rust spot which I scrubbed and now it looks like new again after using it for a few weeks. I love it.

Wishing you all the Best for 2016.
    Hugs, JB

  7. Did they steal Charlie Brown's Christmas tree??? I LOVE IT!
