How often....

....are you stopped by this while driving?

Just missed the engine!  Shucks!

And it continues....

....still more....

....until the very last car passes.  We were able to see that all the cars were filled with coal.   I didn't know the train wouldn't have a caboose!

Have a good week-end!

  1. Our normal travels don't cross any railroad tracks that are active these days, but there is one that I sometimes used to encounter when I was working, and the delay could be considerable at times! Trains are becoming a thing of the past in many areas, but they still serve a very useful purpose in our transportation system. Have a super Saturday, Sister!!

  2. we cross railyway tracks in our town, in several spots and the worst is when they have to back up!! Sometimes you can sit 20 minutes waiting for them to switch tracks, I also noticed that they don`t always have a caboose, I wonder why that is,

  3. Hubby used to get stopped by them all the time, when he was working. They cross the road to the refineries.

  4. We don't have trains going through our city anymore. They have turned the track into a walking trail. There are still some in the province though.

  5. Nellie, The caboose is a red light now...less men to pay. I was surprised it was full of coal...our is full of corn and beans around here. Long harvest season. Hope you had a good day and a better one tomorrow. xoxo,Susie

  6. Yup, I've been stranded at railroad tracks. It can be frustrating but better than trying to run fast across the tracks!

Hope you are having a delightful weekend, Nellie. Susan
