Bright and shiny....

....and ready to work on those grapes pictured yesterday!


Our latest kitchen addition, a new food mill replacing the ancient one (45 years old) that had turned rusty!

  2. I love my food mill. I don't know what I would do without mine. I bet mine is that old as yours, :) it was my sister in law's moms. I know she used hers when she was raising her family and I have used it for 20 years at least.

Many years ago, when we were blessed one summer with what was left in our neighbor's garden when the man was sent off to Germany with the military, I bought one of those, and it was indispensable for squeezing the tomatoes so I could make juice! I have no idea where mine is now, and it would probably be rusty if I could find it. Is it wrong to get excited about a new kitchen utensil? I don't think so!   8. I had one of those and never used it! But we do have a very old "victorio strainer" that I use to make tomato juice.
    About the American girl store, Oh My Gosh!, I posted about it a few years ago. We went to the one in Chicago. Amazing! I came home motivated to design something where I could charge 15.00 to pierce a dolls ears!!!
