It was great to have a reason to spend the night with a college friend.
This is the view down the street. It is two lanes (one lane in each direction), divided by this wonderful grassy area.
No cars park on the street in front of the houses. Instead, they use this alleyway to reach their individual parking spaces located behind their homes.
This is a view across to the water where the gazebos are located. We were able to see some wonderful wildlife on a ride around the area the night before.
We crossed many bridges, of course. These pictures show two instances why bridges are necessary.
There were times when the water was much closer than this one picture indicates.
I know that some people have a fear of crossing bridges. I just try not to look downward!:-)
Have a wonderful week! 'Tis the last full one of May already!
That is indeed a wonderful area, although there might be some objections from some people who want to park on the street! I would imagine it's quiet and peaceful there, and that's a good trade-off, in my opinion. I am not fond of bridges, but they are necessary these days, if one is to reach some points of interest. Yes, I try not to look down! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting place to visit. Where was this located? It is so much fun to see your pictures of your travels. I hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to visit old friends, Nellie. Very interesting parking at your friend's home. It does make for a neat look going down the street. Have a great Monday. ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and charming street and row of homes. Happy you could spend time with a friend.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe it's almost June!
Sounds as if you had a great trip south... I saw your picture (with a group) on your sister's FB... You look great and so does she...
ReplyDeleteGlad you could spend some time with a friend also. Pretty area.
Hugs,
Betsy
That looks very charming, Nellie. I love the line of houses with American flags!
ReplyDeleteNellie, I love that wonderful area. The street is so pretty divided like that. Love the look of the gazebos in the fog. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
