Fall is in the air! Our low temperature here this morning was 56 degrees! The prediction for the next few nights is for similar temperatures, though the high temperatures are expected to reach eighty again by next weekend.
It seemed like the perfect morning for this....
Cream of Rice with dried cranberries and walnuts! There may have been a little butter added.:-)
The menu for Sunday Lunch is coming together. We’ll have sheet pan chicken (maybe barbecue, maybe honey mustard) with assorted vegetables on that sheet pan with the chicken. Yes, there will be dessert! It’s apple season, and that’s all I will say about that until Monday.:-)
Does the weather feel like fall where you are? What are some things you usually enjoy during this season? Are you going to be able to enjoy them as usual, or will you adapt?
Take care! Be safe! Stay well! Wear your mask!
That sounds like a wonderful, warming breakfast, Sister! Of course, I have to watch out for the carbs in the Cream of Rice, but I think I could enjoy that and eliminate them elsewhere. I do that already for some yummy chocolate, so why not for Cream of Rice? Your lunch plans sound delicious, as always, and I can't wait to see this week's dessert! As for fall weather, we've had rain most of today, and our high has struggled to reach 80. I'm all in favor of that trend! Hope you're doing well today and will enjoy your SONday as well. Love you!
ReplyDeleteThe cream of rice sound like a good breakfast to me... The days are getting shorter and colder. A nice hot cereal really hits the spot. To tell you the truth, I never had Cream of Rice.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julia
Haven't had cream of rice in a very long time but to have cream of wheat every so often.
ReplyDeleteThis morning it felt like winter.
The weather has shifted here. Mornings are cooler and there's a different feeling in the air. Trees are starting to turn. Your Cream of Rice looks delicious. May I ask how you make it? Have never had it.
ReplyDeleteI will have to Google Cream of Rice. I have never thought of rice for breakfast, but why not? It's another type of grain, {technically a grass} and that's what breakfast cereals are. I love rice pudding. Yes, it's apple season, and next month is National Apple Day!
