The first step....

....in preparation for planting the vegetable garden!

Under the watchful eye of a neighbor, the garden space is being turned!  Do you see the grayish spot in the middle?  That's where The Husband was burning brush earlier today.  Leaves from another neighbor are in the black bags.  They will be good to enrich the soil.

Can planting be far behind?  You never know!  Rain is expected very soon and will be with us through the rest of the week.

  4. Sure wish my Daughter had a tractor! They have many things already in pots, but are planning a garden... if the rain doesn't wash them out.

It always smells so nice. Do you know what you are going to plant this year?

  6. I have garden envy. I still have tons of snow on the lower end of the garden and the upper end is very wet. but no complains from me. I want the snow to melt slowly to avoid much flooding.

Good luck with your vegetable garden.
    Hugs,
