So, today's feature recipe is a new one for me.
Here is the base that has chilled.
This is after the topping has been added.
Sprinkled with nuts and ready to serve.
I want to add that it has been years since I have used the usual "non-dairy whipped topping," and had no plans of using it in this recipe. Fortunately, I found this product at the store -
It seems to be a great option!
Congealed salads/desserts don't seem to be mentioned as much as they once were. I'm hoping this one will be perfect for a gathering later today!
I love the name of those books, Sister! I'm always up for a play on words, and I think I would also be up for this salad/dessert! Yummmy!! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Love you!
ReplyDeleteNellie, Whipped cream and nuts makes it more appealing to me. It certainly looks good. Hope you are having a good day there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI haven't made one of these type salad/desserts in years. I like the look of the whipped topping. I will look for something similar in my area. This does look tempting. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to buy any more cookbooks, Nellie. But these do look lovely, as does that congealed salad. ♥
ReplyDeleteI love the covers of these books. Don't know why. And I know we can,t judge a book by them. Still.
