From the collection....

Continuing on with choosing recipes from my cookbook collection, this one is my feature for today.

In past years, this recipe was a favorite.....

....but it has been several years since Lemon Bars were baked here!

The crust just out of the oven....

....the lemon topping added.....

.....and out of the oven!

A finishing touch of powdered sugar, and they are ready to cut and serve!

Serving dish - A Proper Tea, designed by Susan Branch for Lenox, now sadly discontinued.

  1. Yummy, Nellie! I make those bars, too, and there is nothing quite as yummy as that buttery crust with the somewhat tart lemon! Mmm....my hubby's fave! You've inspired me to do some baking! He will be happy! 😚

  3. Theses really are delicious, but I have to be careful with citrus yummies, so I have to be careful how many I eat at one time. It's hard to stop at just one or two, though! I've shared this one on Facebook, since I have many friends who love anything lemon. Have a wonderful Wednesday, Sister! Love you!

  5. Oh they are so good, Nellie. And served in Susan's lovely plate makes them perfect. ♥

  6. This is one of my favorite cookbooks and it's getting a bit tattered now! I've made the lemon squares many times, but it has been a long time since I have also, so thanks for posting this. I know they're delicious, and will be making them soon!
