On the wall....

Happy Thursday to you!  Does it seem that the week is passing quickly for you?

Dogwoods are on my mind these days, so I am going to share with you what is on the walls here.

Work of a local artist.

A gift from a very good friend.

This has been around many years.

By Homer Laughlin.

Another work by a local artist.

Are you able to tell that I like dogwoods?:-)  There is even more!:-)

  1. Oh, I remember that one plate in the middle! I have a single place setting of the same pattern, just for old times' sake because of our grandmother. I also love dogwoods, but I do not have any paintings around here. Enjoy those lovely works of art, and have a blessed day! :-)

And what better art, to surround yourself with, than with what you love.!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Nellie, Dogwoods are so very pretty. My mom brought one home from Alabama. She dug it up from my brother's woods. It grew to about 3 1/2 feet and bloomed . She was proud of it. I really liked your plates.:):) xoxo,Susie

  7. All of your art is lovely. Isn't it funny how we tend to focus on a particular subject that captures out fancy like dogwoods for you & birds for me. I did not even realize I had a theme with my artwork until a friend pointed it out to me. I think we pick art that makes us happy to be surrounded by. I like to rearrange all the smaller artwork in the house a couple of times each year.
Your dogwood jewelery is also very nice. You must have a large number of artisans where you live.
Out in the Pacific NW it is not common to see the beautiful dogwood trees, but they are occasionally seen in yards as the climate changes & our weather becomes warmer. About the only positive aspect I can think of out of global warming. Enjoy them while they are flowering.
