What have I been doing?

You may be wondering about that.:-)  Perhaps these pictures will help answer that question.

Snow on the 19th of March!

Making Apricot-Pineapple Gelatin Salad and Coconut Sour Cream Dream Cake for the adult day care program lunch later today!

Baking Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday!

Helping celebrate a very special birthday for The Husband's cousin.  Are you able to see the writing on the cake?  She was 95 years old on March 30!

These flowers were blooming in her yard!

This is the first Tuesday of the month, time for that lunch for the adult day care participants at our church.  On the menu - sliced ham with raisin sauce, green bean casserole, that apricot-pineapple gelatin salad, a whole wheat roll, and coconut sour cream dream cake.  I'd better get busy!:-)

Thank you for reading.  I appreciate your comments.

  5. The Husband's cousin is a truly remarkable lady, still taking care of her own home and herself!! I'm sure she enjoyed the visit from you and your family! That menu sounds really yummy, and those folks at the adult day care will enjoy every morsel. Have a great day, and take care of yourself! :-)

  8. Happy Birthday to the lucky lady. Lucky to be 95 and still be living in her own home. If those flowers are blooming in her yard, it must be so.

And lucky adult day care participants, whom you will be feeding. :-)

  9. That coconut sour cream cake sounds like a dream to me! At my Mom's day care program they have similar meals. Except desserts are not as exciting as yours - they get fresh fruit and yogurt.

  13. Hi Nellie, Sad tonight that the Lady Vols didn't win.. BUT--overall, Holly did a great job with the team in her FIRST year. They did much better than many folks thought they would.

Looks like you have been in the kitchen alot this month....

We had sleet around here tonight... Still waiting for Spring... Maybe by this weekend, we'll get some warmer weather... Hope so..

Happy Birthday to your hubby's cousin. 95, huh??? So neat!!!!!

    Have a good day tomorrow.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  16. Everything looks so delicious. Despite your late snow, you have blooms! I'm jealous. Our yard is so brown and dingy right now. I'm tempted to fast-forward right to May!
