Christmas is coming.....

.....and we have been making preparations by beginning rehearsal of these:

A new one for us!

Familiar words.

Humor about the Christmas season.

That shiny red notebook - and name tag.

The Women's Chorus from the Senior Center will soon have our fourth rehearsal with these selections.  We already have five performances scheduled in December for this program!  Busy days are ahead!

It was a little strange to be singing Christmas music in August.:-)  With only one rehearsal a week, though, that is what we must do in order to have the program ready by the first of December.

Don't worry!  We aren't trimming the Christmas tree just yet!:-)

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  4. Oh, I am ALWAYS ready for Christmas music! I'm sure your group will be great, as always, and I look forward to hearing from you about some of those dates, as I always enjoy hearing you ladies. Have a great day and a good rehearsal today, Sister!

  5. I hope that you can persuade someone to take a little video of you singing with the choir. I'd love to catch a glimpse of your performance.
Nothing like Christmas music to put you in the mood.
December will be here in the blink of an eye.

    Hugs,
    JB

  7. Yes, I remember when my husband sang, it would start so early to get ready for Christmas and since he sang in the Easter Cantata too, it always seemed he would just get finished with Christmas and start Easter. He loved it so much and I am sure you do too.

  9. While I love the promise of cooler weather this time of year brings, it also brings the holidays I'm not so fond of. I do have some good memories of holidays from long ago... when I can remember them. *sigh
